Hi Everyone

Here are the results from the Michael Bowles gala last weekend in Cork. For those swimmers aiming to enter the Irish Summer Nationals age grade (swimmers U14/U13/U12) this gala is the last chance to gain qualification. We will have five swimmers representing the club at this level and they'll be swimming across 24 different events. So congratulations to Lauren, Ned, Aino, Nicole and Síofra. I'm sure you'll all enjoy the experience of competing in UL at the start of July.

We will have nine swimmers representing the club for the Irish Youth and Senior Nationals taking place at the NAC at the end of July. Again congratulations to Natalia, Ashlee, Aoife, Petr, Diarmaid, Zac, Ailbhe, Danny and Matthew and best of luck in Dublin. Here's the complete list of Celtic Waves qualifiers and their events. Last season we had 10 qualifiers and our goal for this season was to have 15. So to have 14 in total is pretty close. Well done to the coaches Liam, Elaine, Cathy and those that assisted them throughout the year.

For many others the last gala of the year will be this weekend in Lahinch and I'm sure it will be a great day out, particularly with the weather looking so good.

Keep an eye on ClubZap for info on the galas that your child is swimming in. The new system begun by Sinead and Colette for gala entries via ClubZap seems to be working well.

The committee will be meeting next week to finalise end of season plans. We will confirm the finishing dates of the various squads and should also be announcing an end of season get together for all club members. Thanks to Colette and others for working on organising the training camp in Calella for the senior qualified swimmers.

As always thanks to all the parents and guardians for keeping everything ticking over. We are always open to any help, support or expertise you can provide so please get in touch if you'd like to be more involved.

Best wishes
