Hi Everyone
We had a very busy weekend both in the pool and unfortunately in Dublin Airport. In the end our trip to Swansea was cancelled because the plane never left the ground. Commiserations to the swimmers who were disappointed not to travel and to the parents and Liam who spent a long day driving up and down to Dublin and waiting all day at the airport only to be ejected from the plane in the early hours of the morning. There will be other better days and hopefully everyone will be refunded for their flights and so on.
On the positive side some of the swimmers who were already entered in the two day Aspiring Champions Gala (running on the 11th and 25th March ) were allowed to increase there number of races and they swam very well as did the swimmers who were going to be there anyway. The results from this gala won't be available until after the 2nd day in two weeks time.
Another positive was a great day for many of the club's 14 and under swimmers who were in Tralee for the Future Challengers gala. There were some truly great times from some of our youngest swimmers and I believe that there was good fun had too. Here are the results.
Finally well done to Zac who did make it to Swansea as part of the Munster team and swam very well too.
The committee will be meeting next week and has a number of items on the agenda including travelling for away camps and galas and the gala entry system. If you would like to contribute a suggestion on these or other issues please drop an email Valerie the club secretary.
